The plant quiz
The plant quiz is Spira's training app for learning the Latin names of plants — and the plants themselves. The exam covers all 60 garden plants in our Swedish-language library: 30 perennials and 30 trees.
What's included
- Name exam — every plant in a category, two points per question (one Latin, one Swedish). Graded instantly with marks A–F and an answer key.
- Standort questions — light, moisture, nutrients, pH and soil.
- Mnemonics and traits — every question carries rhymes and hints that make the name stick.
- Printable answer keys and memory cards — train away from the screen.
- History and statistics — grade curve, day streak and your weakest plants.
Installing the app
The quiz is a web app (PWA) — no app store needed. Install it on your home screen and it works offline like a native app. Open /quiz and use your browser's Add to Home Screen (iOS/Android) or the install icon in the address bar (desktop). The app itself is in Swedish.
The library connection
Every plant in the quiz has its own page in the (Swedish) plant library with traits, mnemonics and care notes — and every plant page links back to the quiz. See the plants under Växter in the navigation.
